Anita's Bracelet

This bracelet is for Anita Puckett from Lisa Cripps. The rose beads are painted black and are put with silver and white beads. This bracelet is a surprise, so I had to choose the beads on my own. I decided to use black because Lisa said that is the color that Anita wears the most! The rose beads are flowers from Anita's grandmothers funeral. How sweet of Lisa to think of Anita... I'm sure she will treasure this bracelet!
Also, if anyone has flowers left over from Valentine's Day... send the petals to me!

Lisa's Necklace

The beautiful Lisa Cripps had me to make some beads, made from her aunt's roses, for these necklaces as gifts for family members (it's a surprise, so I'm trying not to tell too much). I love the beads on the dainty gold chains of hers. I also made the beads in white, black, and pink, so that they are interchangeable. I have been experimenting on how to get the beads as smooth as possible, and I wanted to show these pictures so everyone can see how the painted beads look. I will be ordering some gold and silver chains like these, so if anyone is interested in this style of necklace just send me your petals! I will be making up several sample pieces of jewelry using the smooth, painted beads to show everyone how they look. If I get enough made, I may attend the craft show at Bobby Ray School on March 8th.

Pearl Bracelet

This is a bracelet I made using rose beads (the black ones), silver beads, and pearls. This is one of my favorites and looks good in person.

Pink & White Beads

This is a pic of a bracelet I made using rose beads that were painted pink and white. I also used crystal beads to accent. I think this turned out precious. I especially like the heart shaped toggle clasp.

Lisa Cripps

Here is a pic of a necklace for Mrs. Lisa Cripps. The beads are made from roses from her aunt's funeral. I painted a coat of black paint over the rose beads to give them a smoother appearance. Lisa had bought the chain herself and justed wanted a few beads on it. I think it turned out great!

Me & My Baby

Here is a pic of me and my precious boy, Ian. I am holding a Valentine's canvas that my sister, Brandie, made for me. We went to, my darling niece, Lauren's 3rd birthday party on Saturday. The canvas looks good hanging on my front door! Just wanted to let Lisa Cripps know that her jewelry is finished and I will be posting pics of it ASAP. Also, the painted beads are turning out well so I will have pics of them posted too. Sorry for the delay!

My sister, Brandie, who has a blog (Dream Custom Artwork, check it out!) for her beautiful custom artwork, has blog tagged me. I am to list 5 things that people may not know about me, so here it goes:

1. I love all things Alice in Wonderland and I collect almost anything I can that is Alice.

2. I am very talented with my eyebrows... I can do the wave with them.

3. Since B brought up the whole broken bones thing... the reason I have the big scar on my left leg is because I broke my femur bone when I was 4 years old. I fell out of a barn... it's a long, sad, strange story. :) I have had all of the stitches & broken bones for Brandie! I also have a scar on my face where I was bitten by a dog.

4. I am obsessed with Paris (the place, not Hilton) and love the beach.

5. I played basketball in high school, and I currently love Nascar. Especially Kasey Kahne. Yes, I am a redneck.

Painted Beads!

The very smart and creative, Mrs. Anita Puckett, has given me the idea to do painted beads. If you want your flower beads to be painted, you may choose your colors and they will have a smoother texture. You can, of course, choose to keep them their natural shade (black)! I will be posting pics soon of some jewelry made with painted beads.

Here is a pic of the 3 pc set. This is made with rose and silver beads. The roses were fresh and store bought. This set is for sell! Also, something special about the rose beads is that they keep their scent! Sorry the lighting isn't good... I promise to have a better digital camera soon!

Up Next...

Up next will be an order from Mrs. Lisa Cripps. I work with Lisa and she is a wonderful lady who is like a second mother to me! I am excited to make some beads for her from flowers that came from her beloved aunt's pall. I will be posting pictures soon! :)

First Necklace

This is a picture of the first necklace I ever made using beads made from roses. I really like the silver beads with the rose beads.
